That’s right. An action figure of some fog. From the movie… The Fog.
As reported by Bloody Disgusting earlier tonight, the 35 year-old writer and collector Death By Toys (also known as Dan Polydoris to his mum) has created his own custom action figure of The Fog’s uh.. fog and is currently selling it on his eBay store.
In an interview with BD, Polydoris stated “…this is quite possibly the stupidest thing I’ve ever made. That being said, at no point during production did I say to myself, ‘This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever made. I should stop.”
And thank the good dark lord of John Carpenter himself that he didn’t, because yes it is stupid as fuck, but is it really any worse than those crappy Reaction action figures from Funko…
If anything Polydoris’ The Fog action figure, which is nothing more than a bit of cotton wool attached to a nice piece of card, is a damning indictment of our blind stupidity and sickening lack of thriftiness in the face of retro nostalgia.
