Radiohead share some creepy Trumpton/Wicker Man hybrid shit

3 May, 2016 — by Christopher Ratcliff0

Update: Radiohead have now released their brand new single Burn the Witch as well as a new album: A Moon Shaped Pool.

If you read this latest Radiohead news on a non-UK site, there’s some mild confusion as to the style of the stop-motion animation used in their latest enigmatic social media post. Well it’s fucking Trumpton isn’t it.

Here’s a short video uploaded just over an hour ago by your favourite weirdos from Oxford:

What does it mean? What’s with all the vague Wicker Man-style pastoral horror references? Is the new album going to drop today? This week? WHY DON’T THEY DO THINGS NORMALLY LIKE TRAVIS?

This post above follows various enigmatic activities carried out by the band over the last couple of weeks. Including posting vaguely threatening postcards to fans on their mailing list, which say, “Burn the Witch.”

Radiohead also deleted their entire social media presence (including its band member’s) and replaced their website with a blank white page which made every music journalist piss their pants on Sunday night and ruin their Bank Holiday Monday because they had to stay glued to Twitter all day. HA HA joke’s on them, Radiohead didn’t do anything yesterday, they all went to their auntie’s for dinner and she’s got shit Wi-Fi.

There was also another Instagram post from the band earlier this morning, but it’s not as creepy and I couldn’t think of any jokes.

Anyway, Radiohead’s new album: probably out in a minute.
